I bought this book for the tiny felt projects, then found that the text is also very "kawaii" and fun. I took the book with me on a car ride with my family, read the text out loud, and we laughed ourselves senseless over the stories. The strangely weird names and tiny stories about each of the characters does add considerably to the charm of this book.
For example, there is a "kidnapper" doll and an alien doll amidst the familiar bunny, teddy and kitty. I personally do not see making a kidnapper in the near future, but if I ever need one, say, to kidnap a tiny teddy, I have the pattern to make one.
The projects are very simple and need few materials and sewing expertise. If you've crafted with felt before, you'll have no problem getting started with these projects.
The layout and presentation of this small volume are appealing, detailed and colorful. This is my first Aronzo book and I look forward to seeing more. Also, if you are easily amused by strange cute stuff but are not a crafter, you will want this book.
I've been working on these projects with my 8 yr. They love it! I help them a little here and there, but the patterns and instructions are simple, well thought out and all around great!
What is also great is that you can get the felt 3" x 3" sampler pack and be able to do all the projects with a huge range of colors. You don't have to make a big materials investment at all like so many other plush toy books. The time investment isn't ridiculously long either, so the kids don't get bored with the project.
It only takes sessions, depending on the skill and patience of the kids. I don't know why, but Japan seems to have an acute sense of cute. All you can do is say "awwww! How adorable! I love this book! It is very simple and instructions are laid out very clearly.
I especially liked that the authors also went so far as to show how to do certain stitches. Even if you don't do any of the projects- it is a really fun book to read.
The book is also helpful to give examples of ways to further your creativity by sprucing up additional products like tote bags with applique features. There are just enough projects to appeal to various tastes there is even a robot! It may take a little practice but results are so much fun! Cute little felt toys that are easy enough for a beginner, but still fun for an intermediate level hobbyist. Designs are very clearly outlined and patterns are easy to copy although I'd recommend tracing paperbut still have a lot of charm and fun to the instructions.

My only complaint is that it's so short! I would have loved to see more of these designs! I'm from Australia and we dont get the range of books that appear here on Amazon. I read the reviews to help me purchase items, so I hope this helps someone else. This book is very kawaii cute! There are many great little characters to make I want to make them all and the instructions are very clear and simple with diagrams.
Basically the instructions are for a small felt mascot. They also have pictures at the back which shows how you can use the patterns for different applications - large softies or for applique work. The book has great pictures and illustrations and inspires you make your own mascots as well!
This is one of my favorite craft books. There are very good patterns and instructions for 19 mascots and a section on what you can do with them, such as embelishing a tote, making ponytail holders, etc.
Cute and Easy-to-Make Felt Mascot
What is lacks in size it makes up for it in sheer cuteness. Once I get a little better at these, I want to start making my own creatures as well! Side note, the "Bad Book" does not have any patterns. I checked it out from the library first and was glad I did. I got the Cute Stuff book from the library and loved it.
So I figured I'd buy it along with this one for the ultimate cute. However, I was disappointed to note that even for the exception of some different patterns that most of the content of this book is in the Cute Stuff book.
Still a very cute book with great patterns but check out Cute Stuff first before you get this one. Newbies can make them :. This book is fun.

I bought to do crafts with my daughter she lost interest but I have made a few of these for my family. Love the pictures and can follow the instructions. Felties are not my strong point and I was still able to make some cute things from this book. See all reviews from the United States.
